Kevin Burgess

Kevin R. Burgess, born May 16, 1956 in Alberta, Canada, left the world far too soon on July 6, 2020 from a multitude of complications. He is predeceased by his father, Al; mother, Beth, and daughter, Lanae.

Kevin loved his family more than anything in the world, and was always there for them in their time of need. He was a true family man and was the most devoted husband, father, and grandfather, great-grandfather any family could ask for. His love for fishing, camping, and motorcycles will be carried on for generations to come. He was a hard worker and could fix anything set before him. His family would tell you no matter what he was always the comedian of any event. He could make anyone laugh and was great at sarcasm. He was the kind of person anyone could get along with, just never ask him to “guess what,” or you’d never get your thought expressed.

There will be a celebration of life held Saturday, July 25th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Palisade Church of Nazarene, located at 3595 Front Street, Palisade, Colorado 81526. We ask that all come ready to celebrate what a great, strong man he was. There will be music and food provided to help let loose. Make sure you bring your sense of humor as he will want to make sure you are laughing. We’re asking in lieu of wearing black for mourning you wear blue, as it was his favorite color and this is a happy event of his cross over.

He is survived through his wife of 30 years, Ruby Burgess, 71, of Palisade, Colorado, as well as 6 kids: Kenneth, Laura, Sheila, Christina, Kimberly, and Angela. He also left behind his legacy with his 17 grandkids: Samantha, Andrew, Tianna, Sheyenne, Michael, Emarey, Damian, Terrel, Jorin, Sierra, Teresa, Jayden, Sean, Devin, Jace, Kai, and Liam. As well as his 8 great-grandkids, Kaidyn, Vannessa, Lyzzie, Mariyah, Aubri, Zavior, Ra’saun, and Benjamyn.
