Leslie "Les" Armbruster, age 100, beloved husband, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed on to be with the Lord on 8/27/2024 following a full life of loving, living, giving, and sharing.
Born on September 2nd, 1923, in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of Andrew and Fern Armbruster.
Les graduated from Richmond High School in 1942 and achieved a certificate from LaSalle Extension University in Higher Accountancy in1948.
Les and Marylyn Hunt met in high school and were married in 1946. They had four children in Aurora, Colorado. They were later divorced. Marylyn passed on in 2005.
Les married Nancy Hunt Morgan in 1983. They loved and lived and enjoyed life for over 40 years.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Core, Ninth Air Force. He served as Supply Sergeant in England during World War II.

1984-2007 Nancy’s Hallmark and gift shops and Greenfields Downtown Mart, known as the downtown hot dog man
2008-2020 (at 97) he completed 12 years with Student Transportation of America riding on the school bus as a safety monitor for special needs children, which he considered his most important life’s work.
Les was a member of Burns Memorial Methodist Church, Foothills Christian Church, Mountaire Christian Church, First Christian Church Grand Junction and held many leadership positions.
Les earned Aurora Sertoma's Man of the Year Award, Service to Mankind Award, volunteered in many community organizations: The Santa Clause Shop, Red Cross, United Way, United Fund, and many others as well as 25 business related organizations such as the International Skal Club, the Colorado Wyoming Hotel Association, and the Colorado Hotel Sales Management Association.
Les is well-known for being dedicated family man and father and friend to many who was a giving and caring Christian who never failed to lend a hand. He is also known for his humor, bringing smiles to everyone he met.
Les is survived by his loving wife Nancy C Armbruster, his four children Vicki (Roger) McCafferty, Debby (Ray) Fishencord, W. Michael (Peggy) Armbruster, and Barbra (Chris) Hermes, bonus children Tammy (Tom) Wenzinger, David Morgan, and Teilene (Bob) Bliss, and a boatload of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services in Grand Junction will be September 7, 2024, at 1:00 at First Christian Church, 1326 N. 1st St, Grand Junction, CO 81501
Memorial services in Lakewood, Colorado will be held on September 14th at 1:00 at Montair Christian Church, 1390 Benton Street, Lakewood, CO 80214.
