The bright, brief, earthly life of Levi Massey, 15, of Whitewater, has ended, and he has entered into the joy of his Master. This boy. He was remarkable even from childhood. He lived in costume and character 300 days a year for at least his first 6 years; memorized a great deal of Scripture; and fellowshipped as easily with a 6-year-old as a 60-year-old. He was all boy and wise beyond his years. His serial obsessions included the Lone Ranger, Davy Crockett, toads, monster trucks, fishing, weightlifting, and dirt bikes. His many friends remember him as kind, goofy, loyal, polite, and occasionally brilliant. His parents concur. His brothers Ben and Noah, age 11 and 9 respectively, naturally looked up to him, and most recently enjoyed together working out, Nintendo tournaments, and boy talks at bedtime. In spite of the sin that is common to every man, Levi professed salvation by grace through faith in Christ's work alone and embraced the Bible where his hope was grounded. Levi's current favorite verse was 1 Timothy 4:12: "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe."
