Lila Phillips

Lila Lorraine Phillips passed away peacefully on October 26, 2022. Lila was born March 15,1928 to the late James and Esther Johnson.

She was born and raised in Alamosa, Colorado where she attended Alamosa High School.  She lived in multiple places in Colorado during her life. After high school she lived in Ruedi, CO and worked in Aspen, as well as Grand Junction and Denver. Out of all of the places she lived, Lila was a city girl at heart and loved the years she lived in Denver.

She worked in Marketing  in many different aspects over the course of her life. She worked at Coors Brewing in Golden in their marketing department, Springwood Estates, as well as a stint in Real Estate.

She loved the Theater and volunteered her time at the Arvada Center and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Lila loved to sew, shop, read, and spend time with her family.

Lila was preceded in death by her daughter Darlene Cate, granddaughter Michelle Beals, siblings Helen Johnson, June Freeman, and Johnny Johnson.

Lila is survived by two of her daughters Linda (James) Rother, Debbie (Mike) Beals. granddaughters Jessica DenBeste and Charlene Waters, grandson Jonathan (Irene) Beals as well as her great-grandchildren Tristan Waters, Jennalee Beals and Hayden Beals.

Memorial Services will be held in Denver at a later date
