Linda Drobny

October 15, 1946 — February 17, 2020

Linda Elaine Drobny passed away on February 17, 2020 at her home in Grand Junction.

Linda was born in Houston Texas on October 15, 1946 to the late William and Mildred Clark. The family moved to Denver when she was 9. Linda spent most of her life in the Denver area.

She attended Union College in Nebraska where she studied to be a medical secretary. Linda married her high school sweetheart Ron Drobny in 1968. After graduation Ron and Linda moved back to Denver to raise their family.

Linda worked as a secretary in a medical office, but her greatest wish was to be a mother.  Her son Jeff arrived in 1971 and her daughter Jennifer in 1976.  Linda then became a stay-at-home mom. She loved being involved in all the school and church activities that Jeff and Jennifer participated in. Later she was a wonderful and involved grandmother.

Linda was a natural caregiver. Taking care of her husband, children, comforting a scared patient at the medical office, becoming a second mom to her children’s friends or just talking to a stranger at the grocery store all came naturally to her and she made it look easy.

Linda loved her dogs. She liked to read, play the piano and go to lunch with friends. Linda never passed up a garage sale.

She truly believed that most of life’s problems could be fixed with a good snack and a nap.

Linda will be very missed by those she has left behind. Her husband Ron Drobny; children Jeff (Marnie) Drobny and Jennifer (Dan) Erickson; grandchildren Alex, Megan, Zach and Emily;

brother Bill (Candi) Clark and sister Pat (Thure) Martinsen.

A memorial gathering will be held at LifeSource Adventist Fellowship on February 28 at 2pm.
