Lora Lynette O’Brien, age 92, died peacefully at home September 9, 2021.
Born May 11, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Picard and Zada (Roundtree) Picard.
Lora graduated high school with a GED in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Lora was a housewife and Mother her entire adult life.
Lora attended Fruita Assembly of God church.
She enjoyed crocheting doilies and created some amazingly beautiful pieces. Her greatest love was her cats. Her fur babies were everything to her.
Lora was a very private person, and was loving and kind to her family and friends.
She had a very strong faith in God, and was a devoted homemaker her entire life.
Lora was preceded in death by her husband Donald Clyde O’Brien, and three brothers, Ernest William (Pete), Edgar Curtis, and Kenneth Leroy (Sonny), Picard.
Lora is survived by her daughter Deena Lynn Hogue, two Grandchildren, Matthew Clawson and Jessica (Clawson) Brown. Six Great Grandchildren, Makayla, Justin, Jontey, Javion, Aleigha, and Zane. Two Great Great Grandchildren, Kaelyn and Nova. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Jeanette (Dot) (Picard) Bochmann, and extended family.
Memorial Services will be September 18, 2021, at 10:30 am, at Fruita Assembly of God located at 108 S. Peach St., Fruita, Colorado.
