Louie Deane Dorlac

July 20, 1956 – February 12, 2017

Louie Deane Dorlac passed away at home in Palisade , CO on February 12, 2017.  He was born July 20, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to John and Juanita Dorlac.   Louie spent 34 years of his life working for Mesa County.  During those 34 years  he worked on many roads and  bridges.  He was the project manager on the 30 Road under pass, the 29 Road bridge over the river, and the 29 Road viaduct.

Louie was a loving husband, father and son who will be greatly missed.

Louie is survived by his wife,Sharon Smith Dorlac of 23 years,  his sons Steven Dorlac of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Johnathan Dorlac (Krystal) of Grand Junction, CO, his sister Greta Lea Bleu (Dave) of Denver, CO, and his mother Juanita Dorlac of Denver, CO.  Louie served in the United States Airforce from December 1975 to December 1979.

Louie loved camping, fishing, shooting with his sons and he loved to play golf.

Louie was a member of New Life Church where he served as a deacon for 6 years, a role which he loved, because it allowed him to serve others.  Louie will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  He loved his Heavenly Father and his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Services will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at New Life Church in Grand Junction, CO.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Life Church Benevolence Fund.
