Margaret Kelly

Margaret Ann Kelly, 79 years of age, passed on Wednesday, December 26th, 2018 peacefully at her home. Margaret Ann was born September 16th, 1939 in Oak Creek, Colorado to the late Carl Schneider and Maevis Ameijeiras. She was the twin sister of Mary Jane Montoya, their baby sister Grace preceded her in death. Margaret Ann was educated in the Moffat County School System in Craig, Colorado. After graduation, Margaret Ann married the late Harold Hoffman. She and Hal welcomed their children Chad Dale Hoffman in 1958, and Sabrina Ann Hoffman in 1960. Margaret Ann was a telephone operator along with her sister, she then became a secretary in Moffat County schools, and later in The Mental Health offices of Craig. She moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1981 and attended Mesa State College, engaging in classes in the medical field. She married Robert (Bob) Kelly in December of 1981. They moved to Olathe, followed by Montrose, Battlement Mesa, and then Grand Junction. She worked in various medical offices on the Western Slope, and later retired from The Department of Human Services in Rifle, Colorado. Margaret Ann was a loving and caring person, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, always thinking of others first. She was a woman of faith. She had a witty personality and wonderful sense of humor. She loved the mountains, the state of Colorado, the Denver Broncos, and adventures in waterskiing, fishing, scuba diving, and golf. She spent a lot of time gardening in her yard, and enjoyed the company of her family, friends, and pets.  Margaret Ann’s memory will live on through her children, Chad Hoffman and Sabrina Hoffman, step-children Kathleen Kelly (Husband- Ramon Gallegos), and Karen Kelly (Lyle), grandchildren Chad Hoffman Jr., Sarah Hoffman, Daniel Hoffman (Cheryl), Destiny Whiteside (Husband- Christopher Whiteside), Kyle Webb, Justin Webb, Hauna Kelly-Ontiveros, and great grandchildren, Abel Hoffman, Dominick Munoz, Christian Munoz, Harold Hoffman, Willah Whiteside, Gage Webb (Wife-Miranda Webb), Bradon Webb, Jordan Webb, Jaxon Webb, Moriah Webb, Judah Webb, Wesley Tittle. Margaret Ann was preceded in death by Stepson Shawn Kelly, and Grandson Austin Powers. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2018 at Brown Cremation and Funeral 904 N 7th St, Grand Junction, CO from 5-8 PM, and Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 3rd, at 11:00 AM at Victory Life Church, 2066 Highway 6 and 50, Fruita, CO 81521.
