Margaret Ruth Clark was born April 10, 1928 to Robert W. & Adlee Clark in Leoti, Kansas.
She married Ervin Karl Koestel, the love of her life, December 8, 1945. They had a son, Vernon K. Koestel in 1954 while living in Salt Lake City, UT, later moving to Grand Junction, CO where their daughter, Rhonda K. (Koestel) Brest was born in 1956. Margaret loved her family dearly and was a salt of the earth, hard working, loving, caring & generous Wife, Mother, Grandma, GG & Friend. She was a member of the Redlands United Methodist Church and she loved Jesus. Over the years Margaret worked as a bookkeeper and was also office manager for Powderhorn Ski Corp. for 25 years before retiring. Margaret was always up for an adventure, traveling, country line dancing, cooking, gardening, flowers and volunteering for many organizations, including the Fruita Welcome Center, the American Cancer Society and RSVP. She was a devoted long time blood donor at St. Mary's. Margaret was an excellent seamstress and could sew anything, including all of her costumes for line dancing. She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Ervin, brother Robert Clark, sisters Barbara Clark & Evelyn Clark, and wonderful son in law, Leonard Brest. She is survived by son Vernon Koestel of Grand Junction, CO, daughter Rhonda Brest of Grand Junction, CO, granddaughters Megan (Seth) Luksha of Grand Junction, CO and Lindsay (Ryan) Julson of Basin, WY, and her 4 Great Grandchildren, Hunter Savageau, Harper Luksha, Jace Julson & Kade Julson.
Family & Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Margaret on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 @ 11:00 at Stillwater Cowboy Church, 968 - 19 Road, Fruita, CO (Turn North on 19 Road off of Hwy 50 West, then turn East off 19 Road at sign for 968)
We would like to thank the many loving & amazing caregivers and HopeWest Hospice Nurses, CNAs and others who helped to take such wonderful care of Our Precious Mom, Grandma & GG.
