Marilyn Gist

It is with our deepest sympathy to announce Marilyn S. Gist passed away Monday November 9, 2020 of natural causes.  Marilyn was born in 1936. She was 84 years old.  She lived the last half of her life in Grand Junction Colorado. Prior to that she lived in Denver and also Arizona.

She will be joining in heaven her husband Mel, son Monte, two brothers and her mom and dad.

She is survived by her son Mark Sandell, with his wife Sheree in Denver and daughter Margie Thomas of Grand Junction.

Marilyn is also survived by 5 grandchildren. Heather Camp, Blake Sandell and Jordan Sandell of Denver, CO, as well as Devrin Sandell and Krishona Harrington in Grand Junction.

Marilyn was a proud great-grandmother of Shaelynn and Addisynn Harrington of Grand Junction;  Embry Sandell of Grand Junction; Kaylin and Lanie Camp of Denver; Brody and Shannon Sandell also of Denver.

Marilyn truly loved life. She was a very compassionate person, which made her fitting as a nurse and a care giver. She was full of kindness and was loyal in everything she did.

Her favorite things involved camping, fishing, cooking, traveling, sewing and gardening.  However her biggest passion was her family.  She was always doing something for them or with them.

She was very active in the LDS community, where she met some wonderful friends, and felt at home.

A celebration of life will be held this Saturday, November 14th 2020, with her family and friends.
