Mario Martin Stock, age 35, passed away on June 19, 2024. Born on September 29, 1988, to Tim and Una Stock, Mario grew up in the Grand Junction area. He attended Palisade High School and graduated from R5 High School.
Mario was a man of many trades and was always a hard worker. He loved camping, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his children. Known for his infectious smile and caring nature, Mario was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back without expecting anything in return.
As a lover of baseball, Mario enjoyed watching his children play sports and was their biggest supporter. He had a profound sense of humor, loved to joke around, and especially enjoyed picking on his wife and playing pranks on her. Mario was supportive, charming, and genuinely good-hearted. He very much loved his wife Bobbie, being both her best friend and rock no matter the situation.
His daughter Ariana, or “Buggy” as he called her, says “I loved the ladybug cake my dad made me for my 1st birthday. He always picked me up, and had the best snuggles. I love playing with you daddy, I love you daddy.”
His daughter Makiya, or “Sissy” says “I always loved when my dad threw me up in the air really high. I loved when he used to tickle me like crazy. I loved it when he would write me notes when he was in the hospital. I love when he used to put me on his shoulders.”
His son Montley says “I loved it when he would help me with my sports and help me get better by giving me tips. I love how he was always caring and tried to do a lot of things with the family. I loved it when he would yell your name out during sports. I loved that he would try to go to any sport and root you on. I loved it when he would make silence into laughter. I love how funny and creative he was. I love how he will try to help out with anything. I love how he would do a lot of things to make us happy.”
Mario cherished his children more than anything and was truly the world’s best dad. His unwavering support and love for them is something that will not be forgotten. His kids were his life, and he was theirs.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Stock. His kids Charles Lively, Mascen Stock, Montley Stock, Makiya Stock, and Ariana Stock. His brother and sister-in-law Amador & Tangi Stock.
