Mark Lancaster

May 25, 1957 — April 19, 2020

With great sadness we share the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Mark David Lancaster of Grand Junction, on April 19, 2020 at the age of 62.  He leaves behind his two beloved children, Jeremiah and Michaelena, and his four grandchildren. He also leaves behind his father, Dave, his brothers, Doug and Dan, and his partner Christine. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn, and his sister, Paula.  Born in Denver, Mark grew up in Lakewood, and graduated from  Mullen High School and Colorado State University.  In 1986, he moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his young family, to study law at  Duquesne University.   A passionate criminal defense attorney, he

worked with voracity to protect the innocent, aid his clients and was well-respected by his colleagues.  In 2012, he returned home to Colorado where he had the pleasure to work for Grand Valley Catholic Outreach, proudly serving those in need within his community.  Mark had a deep love of God and greatly valued his role as a father and grandfather.  He was passionate for the outdoors and activities which he shared with family and friends, including camping, biking, fishing, and hunting.  He always found joy in life, embracing it to the fullest, on his terms. We were truly blessed to call him our father, son, brother, husband, and friend. He will be forever missed by those that knew and loved him and he will remain in our hearts always.
