Mark Fraser Singleton, age 66, passed away peacefully at Vineyards Memory Care on Monday, November 28, 2022, of Alzheimer’s Disease and heart complications. Born on October 10, 1956, in Marple, England, he was the son of the late John and Jean (nee Heggie) Singleton.
He is survived by his beloved spouse Randi Kim, his sisters Ellen Singleton-Wood and Carey (Jeremy) Moreton, his brother Adam (Felicity Drown) Singleton, nephew Jonathan Wood, and his cherished companion Fiona (the cat).
He was a material science engineer and a global expert in corrosion control having worked in the aerospace, military and petroleum industries. Mark was a mentor for many young people and involved in the Big Brothers organization. He enjoyed golf, music, nature, hiking, and fishing. He loved to make people laugh, always had a friendly smile to others, and had a generous spirit. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.
A celebration of life will be held at the Redlands Community Center on Tuesday December 6, 2022, at 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial gift in Mark Singleton’s name to the Alzheimer’sAssociation.
