Mary Clarke

Mary Anne Clarke 75 left our world to continue her journey in heaven on June 2,2020 at 2:22 pm at the Hopewest Hospice Care Facility in Grand Junction Colorado after a very hard fought battle with brain cancer. Mary was born in California on May 30,1945. She spent most of her life in Southern California,she lived in Kansas and Arizona as well but settled in Colorado to be close to her daughter and grandsons.She graduated from LaSerna high school in Whittier California in 1964.She dedicated her life to her family. She had the memory of an elephant when it came to birthdays or anniversaries no matter what family member it was.She always looked forward to her birthday week not because she was showered with gifts but because she got to spend time with her family at the juco world series and watch her favorite team the Yavapai roughriders play. She loved sports mostly baseball and football and her favorite teams were the LA Dodgers and the Arizona Cardinals. She used to love going to dodger stadium with her dad.When her kids or grandkids were playing no matter what sport it was she was right there cheering them on showing her love and supporting in everything they did.She was a loving caring hard worker who would do anything for anyone, no matter how hard things got she always stayed positive.She loved anything Elvis and she loved to cook and bake. At Christmas everyone would get their favorite baked goods and if they didn't have a favorite they got some of everything. She would sit for hours handwriting recipes and give them to people.Everyone who knew her loved her and she quickly became everyone's mom or grandma.She wasn't just our Mom,Grandma,Gma or Gigi she was our friend,confidant and biggest supporter. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Betty Cochran. She is survived by her sister Patti (Fred) Lau  brother Tom (Gretchen) Cochran and Sister in law Joyce Holway her children Susan (Alan) Stott Robert and Charles Clarke Gareth (Kristina) Evans Her Grandchildren Thomas (Stephanie) David (Carley) Brooke (James) Courtney Becca Robert Jr Porsha Alie Xavier Caidyn Lyriq Charlotte Vera Kaylee Brooklynn Makenzie Great grandchildren Nayelley Emilee Paisley Noah Lilly Rosaliegh Abel Nieces Amy Megan Kati Karen Emily Nephew Matthew and all of their families. She is also survived by her bonus kids Tammy Christina Derek Chris and their families along with numerous other people.A celebration of life will be held on Sunday June 21,2020 at Columbine Park 546 28 1/4 Rd Grand JunctionCo at 1:30 pm.
