Mary Donlan

Mary Cushing Donlan, age 78, passed away peacefully on 11/15/21. Mary, the daughter of Jerome and Dorothy Cushing, was originally from Park Ridge, Illinois, but moved to Colorado with her husband and two sons in 76’. As a successful realtor from Carbondale, she moved out to Grand Junction where she spent her last 20 years. Those that knew her will remember her kind and giving heart and her adventurous spirit. She travelled to Costa Rica where she owned property and worked with the locals to provide free books for the community, and she was a patron of the arts in Grand Junction where she supported local theater. She was known as a successful realtor who took pride in mentoring others. Earlier in life she was a Benedictine nun and school teacher, and then became a communications trainer working for the Social Seminar. She leaves behind sons, Bob and Joe Donlan; brother Jerry Cushing; and sister Jean Travers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation in Mary’s name, to your favorite charity. We will miss you Mom, and pray that you are now together again with your loving parents in heaven.
