Mary Lou Perry February 22, 1937-December 10, 2016 Mary Louise “Lou” Anderson Perry, passed away with her family at her side. Mary Lou was 79. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer and dementia earlier this summer. Mary Lou was born and raised in Olathe, CO to Ethel and Thomas “T.C.” Anderson. She graduated from Olathe High School in 1954. She later attended Colorado Women’s College and graduated from Mesa Jr. College in 1959. Mary Lou met and married Dave Perry in 1960. They divorced later. During Mary Lou and Davey’s marriage, they owned “The Smoke Shack” now a portion of Kmart Parking Lot. They later owned and operated Grand Junction Bowling Lanes until it sold in 1979. Mary Lou went to work for St. Mary’s Hospital in the dietary dept. and retired in 2000. She enjoyed working for DMT Catering part time during her retired years. Mary Lou is survived by her brother Herb of Montrose, Co, her sons Scott & (Renee) Perry, Dru & (Lisa) Perry of Maui, Hawaii, and Nick Perry of Broomfield, CO. She is survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews/ Mary Lou will be cremated and her remains will be laid to rest with her parents and brothers and sisters in Olathe. In Lieu of flowers, please contribute to Hospice of Grand Junction, Mesa Manor Nursing Home, Claws of Western Colorado, Roist Hurst Humane Society or a charity of your choice that benefits others in need or their pets.
