Mary Wagner

Mary Catherine Wagner, 87, died October 9, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital following a brief illness. Mary was born on January 24, 1934, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Caroline McGonnell. She met the love of her life, Frank Arthur Wagner, at the young age of 14, and they married on August 30, 1952. They were fortunate enough to spend 69 loving years together.

Mary graduated high school in Williamsport and was employed in the medical field, retail, and the ski industry. Her favorite job was at Powderhorn Ski Area as a ski school ambassador. She became known as Mrs. Powderhorn to many people. She loved the mountains, particularly the Grand Mesa, where Frank and Mary resided for 16 years. Soon thereafter, finding their next home in Palisade.

Mary loved to party and particularly loved her family: her loving husband, four children, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at First United Methodist Church in Grand Junction, CO., at 1:00 P.M.
