Mary Margie Wood

Mary Margie Wood age 85, died 6-22-23, at HopeWest Hospice Care Center. Born April 2nd 1938 in Corona, NM to Thomas & Mary Colbaugh Margie attended Delta High School in Delta CO where she met and married the love of her life Richard Wood. Margie held numerous jobs in Grand Junction from manufacturing to retail sales at many establishments over the years. As well as owning her own clothing store in downtown GJ. She enjoyed camping with friends and family and was an accomplished painter. Her most valued activity was spending time with her extended family. Her home was the gathering place for most holidays and birthdays over the years. Margie was dedicated to her family as well as all of her close friends. She was always ready to lend a hand when needed. Margie was preceded in death by her son Tim Wood and brothers Thomas Colbaugh and Sam Colbaugh. Margie is survived by her husband Richard Wood, son Terry (Nancy) Wood, daughter Joy (John) Cozette, son Jeff (Kim) Wood and her sister Leola Richardson as well as 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
