Matthew Lee McDaniel, 47, passed away January 21, 2017 unexpectedly from natural causes.
Matthew was born December 4, 1969 in Arvada Colorado to parents LeRoy McDaniel
(Columbus New Mexico) and Linda Smith (deceased).
Matthew attended and graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1988. A very active member
of the Clear Creek GoldDiggers. Some of his endeavors included Football, Wrestling, and
Baseball. He even went on after school to help with the local little league teams and coach his
daughter in Wrestling.
Matthew was a veteran of the U.S. Navy stationed in Chicago, IL
As an avid sports fan Matthew enjoyed watching and playing sports alike. Watching the Broncos
on Sunday afternoons and Baseball starting in April, a proud supporter of the Colorado Rockies.
Matthew was a very involved father in all of his children's endeavors and rarely if ever missed
their games or competitions. Many of his daughters friends knew Matthew as a second fatherly
figure because of his activeness in their lives. Teaching his daughters how to hunt, fish, and play
sports were just a few of his favorite things. Matthew was friendly, sarcastic man with an
exceptionally large heart and compassion for everyone in his life. A man who would do anything
for anyone who was in his life.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Marsha, his two daughters, Murphy & Amanda, his
grandchildren Jessica, and Richard with another on the way he gets to guide from above.
Celebration of life will be held January 30, 2017 at 3pm at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral
Services in Grand Junction, Colorado.
His daughters and extended family will then spread Matthew at his favorite lake in Georgetown
Colorado.
