Max Noland

August 1, 1933 — November 13, 2019

Max Lene Noland, age 86, passed away on November 13, 2019 after a brief illness. Born August 1, 1933 in Dallas City, IL, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Hattie Noland. Max attended Dallas City High School where he met his wife, Sue Noland, who survives.

He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. During his working life, he was employed as a missile ordinance mechanic for 16 years, but his true passion was as a peach farmer which he did for 54 years.

He was a member of the Palisade Lions Club and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching high school sports. Max never met a stranger and was dedicated to his family and helping others.

He is survived by his wife Sue Noland; son, Bryan (Kim); daughter, Cynthia (late Chuck  Bustos), and 3 grandchildren, Jason, Ashley (Steve), and Max.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, 11/18 at the Palisade Cemetery, 3529 Front St. at 11 am.
