Melissa Carnahan

On May 5, 2020 Melissa “Missy” Sue Carnahan, loving mother, daughter, sister and friend-joined her father Michael Allen Carnahan, sister Michelle Lee Carnahan, husband Andrew Michael Marquez, and bonus father Randy Lee Hall in the next life. She was born on May 23, 1991 to Michael Allen Carnahan and Shawna Marie Carnahan in Flagstaff, Az. Missy spent her short but impactful time on Earth immersed in family and was admired and loved by those lucky enough to know her. She is survived by her daughters, Peyton Lynn Marquez and Michelle Lee-Anna García and new born son Michael William Victor Garcia. As well as her nieces, Tyra Dayln Torrez, Olivia Jade Torrez, Makayla Marie Torrez and nephew Jaylen Michael Thomas Carnahan-who were more like her own children than just her nieces and nephew. As well as her mother Shawna, brother Shain Michael Carnahan, partner Cesar Armando Garcia and many other loved ones. She spent her life doing the things that mattered most. From a young age she took on the roll as the glue that held her ever growing family together. Whether it be family get togethers, Sunday football or just the every day tasks in life-you could always rely on Missy to have it already planned out and executed before the rest of us realized we already dropped the ball. If you asked loved ones to describe Missy, words like courageous, inspiring and Warrior were just a few of many simple, yet perfect responses. To say Melissa Sue will be missed is more than an understatement. Those who knew her and even the unlucky ones who didn’t, will feel her absence forever. We can all take comfort in knowing that she is still taking care of us all-as well as undoubtedly creating the notorious mischief both her and her sister Michelle were known for.
