Melody Haight

Melody Sue, 65, was born February 25, 1956 in Kansas City Kansas. She was a long time resident of the Grand Valley.  She grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley.  She graduated from Basalt High School in 1977.  She has lived in Grand Junction since 2000.  She was a member of Church of Christ for nearly 40 years.
She loved her dog Bingo, knitting, quilting, playing bingo and cards and enjoyed working the food bank at church. Her hand made gifts were always treasured by the receiver.  She had a special way of connecting with children and loved the opportunity to care for them.  She was the go to babysitter.
For 10 years she was a devoted and loving caregiver for her mother. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help someone else in their time of need.
She passed peacefully at home on March 12, 2021.  She was a loving sister and friend and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at Church of Christ at 3:00 P.M. 2893 Patterson Rd. GJT. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to her church, Church of Christ.
