In 1994 he moved to Colorado, and continued to work in Marketing & Sales. It was in Grand Junction, CO. on July 27, 1999, that he met, and married Teresa McCune, his “soul mate,” His mother Rosie introduced them, and insisted they were perfect for one another, and she was right! She set up the introduction, at the cemetery where he will now be laid to rest, and after their first date they remained steadfast & committed to one another and their blended family of four boys & 2 girls, and although the kids were newly grown adults, they were all equally important, and greatly loved. In 2006 Mike retired due to health issues related to agent orange exposure, and even though it was hard to push through ongoing treatments, he never gave up. He just had a way of finding a happy twist in life. Bring a smile when there was sadness. His love for his family kept him fighting to the very end. Mike & Teresa began an entrepreneurial adventure in flipping houses, with much satisfaction in working together side by side; and he continued to do so until a few months before his passing. In his earlier years he absolutely loved racing competitively “Creech Newell racing”, a 1979 Camero. He also enjoyed collecting classic cars. He loved Cadillac, and Chevy. The 1970 Eldorado Cadillac he owned was one of his favorites, because that was the year he returned home from Vietnam. Spending time with his children, when they were young was a priority for him. He was an active father. Always attending their sports events, and activities. They all enjoyed boating with the grandparents, and additional family members at Salton Sea, and Lake Havasu. He created many memories, and cherished each moment with his family, especially working with his boys on the cars and building a lifetime of special moments. An avid boater, and golfer in his younger years, he even enjoyed snow skiing.
Although quiet in his expression, his faith in God, and his belief in Jesus as his Savior remained steadfast until he went to be with his Heavenly Father. He cherished his children, and adored his grandchildren. They all touched his heart in a special way. His memory will remain here in the hearts of all of his family & friends until we meet again. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Creech, his children Christ Henry (Don) Beaumont, CA. Jeffrey Creech, Tim Johnson II, Tim Creech (Victoria), Steve Creech (Becky), and Lindsey Thomas (Keith) Thirteen grandchildren: Abbigale, Brendan, Mikey, Payton, Makaela, William, Alex, Jazlyn, Addison, Lizzie, Avery, Bryson & Brylie. One great granddaughter Riverlyn. We will miss you forever, until we meet again in Heaven!
