Obituary for Michael James Stucker Michael James Stucker , age 66 of Grand Junction, CO passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his residence. Born August 4, 1948 in Grand Junction, he was the was the son of the late Harry Arnold Stucker, and Rhea Ellen Christensen Stucker of Grand Junction. Following graduation from Grand Junction High School , Mike attended Mesa State College. He was a Colorado State certified addiction’s counselor. He joined the United State Air Force having served during the Viet Nam War. Mike held many positions within the mental health industry. He had been employed at Grand Junction VA Medical Center, Colorado Department of Corrections, and Western TASC. Most recently, he worked for Dos Rios Counseling. He was a member the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a life member of the Elks Lodge. To say Mike was a Broncos fan was an understatement. He loved watching the games and could often be seen wearing the “Orange and Blue”. Mike loved to fish, especially ice fishing. He was good at tying flies and making lures. He will be remembered for his smile and infectious laugh. His family meant the world to him and he will be missed by many. In addition to his mother, Rhea E. Stucker, he is survived by one son, Charles L. Stucker, Phoenix, AZ, one brother, Pat (Donna) Stucker and family of Parker, CO one sister, Kathy (Joe) Reynolds and family, Grand Junction, CO and one granddaughter, Alexis Rae Stucker, of Grand Junction, CO and his dear friend, Frank White of Grand Junction. Friends are invited to attend funeral services with military honors on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Memorials may be made to charity of one’s choice.
