Miklo Armando Apolinar, age 26, passed away on June 23rd, 2023 and is now with our Heavenly Father, family and friends that have preceded him.
He was born August 28th, 1996 in Ely, Nevada. He is the son of Augustine and Brenda Apolinar of Grand Junction CO, and Caren and Bill Swindell of Parachute CO. Miklo attended and graduated from Grand Valley High School in Parachute CO. He worked for JOG Moving LLC, and was loved by his boss and coworkers. He had been an equipment operator, and was an excellent welder and loved mechanics and working on vehicles. Miklo loved his family and would come running whenever any one of them needed a helping hand. He was a charismatic, fun loving free spirit. He was one of a kind, a hard worker and amazing at fixing things. If he didn't know how, he'd find a way to fix it. He was our IT guy, our set up new equipment guy, just all around fix it guy. He was never afraid to tackle a new project. He was a goof and never failed to bring a smile to your face with one of his famous Dad jokes. He loved his momma’s cooking and spending holidays with his family.
Miklo also loved Colorado and had a passion for the mountains. Whenever he could he was either camping, fishing, hunting, riding quads, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. His world was his dog children and they were always by his side. You'd see him with that tattered vest but the dogs had all the finest gear. He wouldn't have it any other way. Miklo was so full of life, love and kindness. If you asked for his advice, he'd tell it straight as he sees it. He always wanted to see you smile. If you were down, he'd try anything to pick you back up, just to see that smile on your face. If you played video games online, he was that "one” you would remember.
Miklo's infectious laugh, his quirky personality, and just plain Miklo will be missed by so many. He would not want you to cry for him, just smiles, and good stories to tell. He may not be physically with us anymore, but we can live our lives to the fullest, for him, and to honor him and to cherish all things good he gave to this world. Do those random acts of kindness or a “good deed of the day” as he would.
Miklo will be deeply missed by his friends and family who loved him.
Rest in peace mijito, we love you forever.
Rest in peace my deara, we will always carry you in our hearts.
