Minnie Wiltsie

Minnie Louisa (Hofsommer) Wiltsie, passed away on September 19, 2016 in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Her family is holding a memorial service for her on October 1st, 2016 in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Minnie was born in Elmira, New York on April 8, 1934.  She was raised on the family Dairy Farm in Horseheads, New York.  She married Kenneth Arthur Wiltsie on Feruary 18, 1956.  She worked for Westinghouse in Horseheads, New York where she met Kenneth.  Minnie and Kenneth had five children, 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren.  Minnie lived for her family. She loved to cook, crochet and knit.  Her favorite thing to do was to make one of her beautiful creations and surprise one of her family members with it.  They are treasured keepsakes among her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Arthur Wiltsie, son Kenneth William Wiltsie, her sisters Esther Pearce, Ruth Gursky and her brothers Arthur Hofsommer and Emerson Hofsommer.

Minnie is survived by her sister Martha Faulkner brother in law Ed Faulkner, her daughter Charlene Hollingsworth, (Wiltsie) and her sons Charles (Cathy), Kelvin(Carrie), Robert (Pam) and daughter in-laws Cynthia Wiltsie0Coffey and Cindy Wiltsie and her 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Minnie's sole purpose in life was to make sure that every member of her family was taken care of.  She instilled a strong legacy of family unity into each one of us that we will carry on.
