Mitchell Glenn Mace, A Son, Brother, Father, and Grandfather, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack in his home in Grand Junction, Colorado on April 3, 2021 at the age of 57.
Mitch was born in Inglewood, California on July 31, 1963 to Charles and Sylvia Mace. They moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1978. He graduated from Fruita Monument High school in 1981. He went on to work at Max’s Autos part store, and later Monument Janitorial Service, his Father's local business.
On August 31, 1987 Mitch married Sheila Anderson (Craft). During this union he adopted their Daughter Kayla Mace and had their Son Charles Mace and Daughter Savana Mace. After 8 years of marriage Mitch and Sheila divorced in 1995. On October 10, 2010 he became a Grandpa for the first time to Robert Reynolds. Mitch would go on become Grandpa to Rogan and Ryder Reynolds, Cadence, Olivia, and soon to be Granddaughter Arabelle Mace.
He was a devoted Son, Father, and Grandpa. His children and grandchildren were his life.
Mitch was an avid hunter, fisherman, and shooter. He loved to work on his trucks and to take them on long drives. His favorite place to visit was Glacier National Park in Montana. His favorite pastime was enjoying the company of his grandkids. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Mitch is survived by his Father, Charles Mace of Grand Junction, CO; his Brother and Sister-in-law, Steven and Vickie Mace of Peoria, AZ; His sister, Brother-in-law, Nieces and, Nephew, Vanessa, Mike, Emeline, Lacey, and Zackry Taylor of Crawford, CO; His Daughter, Kayla Mace of Grand Junction, CO; His son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters, Charles, Jessica, Cadence, Olivia, and Arabelle of Grand Junction, CO; His daughter, Son-in-law, and Grandsons, Savana, Benjamin, Rogan, Robert, and Ryder Reynolds of Vicenza, Italy. He is preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Mace.
Services will be held Friday, April 16, 2021, 2:00PM at Stillwater Cowboy Church. Located at 968 19 rd. Fruita, CO 81521
