Monte Harrison

Obituary Monte Harrison born was born to Billy Ray Harrison and Katherine McCall on August 6, 1956 at Hill Field Air Base in Layton Utah. He reached his eternal peace in a tragic accident on September 18, 2014. Monte spent many years in his early career as a very talented professional baker. Later finding a passion for woodworking, and enjoyed making custom doors, and cabinets for a living while spending his free-time creating jewelry boxes, cutting boards, hope chests, and other beautiful handmade gifts for his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hiking and many other outdoor activities. Monte was preceded in death by his Stepfather Jess McCall, and his wife Mariam Carr Olet. He is survived by his Mother Katherine McCall of Grand Junction, brother Gary (Melissa) Lemon of Crawford, sisters Cathy (Mike) Folkerth of Cedaredge, Karen (Mike) Zimmerman of Erda, UT, Cheryl McCall of Grand Junction, as well as many nieces, and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday Oct. 4th at 1:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley Church.
