Monte was born and raised in Reedley California, and in 2014 moved to the Grand Valley. He was a jack of all trades, working for such companies as; Sequoia Forest Industries and Salwassers. He finally found what he loved and worked as an electrician until his retirement.
Monte loved the outdoors. He loved to fish, goldpan, camp and metal detect, these were just a few of his favorite  things!
Monte was above all else a family man. He loved his children, grand children, great grand children and rest of his family fiercely. He would do anything for anyone and would always be there for you. He was always happy, always smiling and always ready to pick you up and make things better. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded is death by his parents Leon and Elaine Lewis of Reedley, CA, his wife Wilma Lewis of Reedley, CA, his son Monte Lewis Jr of Reedley, CA and many other family members.
He is survived by his older brother Dennis Lewis of Dinuba, CA, 2 children Scott Lewis of Squaw Valley, CA and Tris Scott of Grand Junction, CO. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
We will miss your smiling face and your silly personality.
