Nancy Watkins

Nancy (Dexter) McCune-Watkins was born on October 31, 1955. Nancy passed peacefully on June 12, 2022 with her daughter holding one hand and her sister holding the other. Nancy was born in Missoula, Montana to Ray and Donna (Merrell) Dexter where her father was working, but Nancy has deep roots in Colorado dating back to the early 1800’s. Nancy had an associates degree in accounting but spent most of her career in commercial real estate. Nancy loved God, her family and friends, the mountains, and life. She also loved doing for others and often volunteered her time for children.

Nancy is survived by her husband Ken Watkins; son Erik Logan (Dallas, TX), daughter Lindsey McCune (Denver), grandson Atlas Logan (Dallas, TX), sisters Jane Powell (Bakersfield, CA), Verlia (Steve) Dexter Dutton (Lakewood), her long-time friends Suzanne Miller and family (Denver), and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Christie (Jewell) Britton (Greeneville, TN) who passed away just nine months ago. Nancy will be missed greatly by her family and many friends. The world will not be the same without her, she lit up a room.
