Nathan Bryan Charles Carson, born November 2, 1979, passed away August 11, 2018. He leaves behind his loving mother, sister, and father. He graduated from Highlands Ranch High School in 1998. He lived for a time in Boulder, CO and Greeley, CO, where he attended Ames Community College. After several years of adventures, including two years in Alaska as a commercial fisherman and a move to LA to pursue a music career, Nathan returned to Grand Junction, CO to earn a degree in Graphic Design from Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University). Following his graduation in 2008, Nathan worked for a newspaper conglomerate in Denver, CO. He became gravely ill in 2012 and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. He recorded his struggle with Crohn's in a three volume memoir. Nathan moved to NYC from November of 2014 to August 2017 and did freelance graphic design as well as starting his final artistic endeavor as "Street Art Hustle." With worsening health, he spend his final months with his mother in Grand Junction home. Nathan was a servant to the arts - painter, poet, musician, performance artist, dancer, graphic artist, photographer, and cartoonist. He was a devoted friend and the most thoughtful giver of gifts. To quote our friend April Manor, "LIFE and JOY and DELIGHT. Sometimes our greatest strengths can be our biggest fight, Nathan, we will miss you. I believe we will see you again. We know only in part still, but you see the whole picture now. When we can't find our way, the Shepherd finds us. I'm sorry you got lost in the turmoil down here, but I believe you now rest in the peace from knowing the Truth. In His Arms till we meet again. Thank you for sharing a piece of your life with ours.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Grand Junction Catholic Outreach in Nathan's name.
