Pamela Kaye Atwood

Pamela Kaye Atwood, age 64 passed away on the 6th of November 2023.

Born December 5th, 1958 in Delta, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Venard and Mary Walters.

Pam graduated from Paonia High School, in Paonia Colorado. During high school, she was one of the first female athletes who held top records in track for decades.

Pam had several careers throughout her lifetime. Most notably, she worked for the main office at City Market as well as The First Colorado National Bank in Paonia, and finally for Delta County Human Services as a case aid.

Throughout her life, you could find her enjoying a number of activities including volleyball, dancing, gardening, cooking, canning, and being outdoors, especially on the boat. Most importantly, she loved spending quality time with her family.

Pam was a strong independent woman who would take on any task thrown at her. No one would dare tell her there was something she couldn’t do as she would proudly say, “Watch me!” She was a deeply caring individual who would go to great lengths for others.

Pam was preceded in death by her father Fred and mother Mary.

Pam is survived by her husband Troy; daughters Melissa (Eriq) and Alicia (Cody); sisters Kim (Doug), Vicki (Jennifer), and Chana (John); stepmother Joy; grandchildren Tray, Mia, and Macy; nieces and nephews Tracy, Brittani, Garrett, Lane, Samantha, Emily, and Tiana, and many other family and friends who she loved.

The Celebration of Life will be on December 9th, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Crawford Town Hall 425 CO-92, Crawford, CO 81415. Food and refreshments will be provided. We will have a display of photos celebrating Pam’s life if you would like to bring a photo to share.
