Paul Mcgilton

Paul Thomas McGilton died October 31, 2020 at his home.

Paul Thomas McGilton was born February 1, 1979 in Craig, Colorado to Dennis and Charlene (Mathers) McGilton.  He was welcomed home by older sister Katrina. He was named in honor of his grandfathers, Paul Edward McGilton and Alfred “Pete” Thomas Mathers.

Growing up in Craig, Paul loved the outdoors, motocross, and sports, excelling in baseball. He loved spending time fishing, snowmobiling, get-togethers at Mather’s Ranch.

He attended Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University.)  He decided to pursue the workforce as a businessman, centering his focus on banking and finance.

Paul met his wife Hilary in 2010 and they married in June of 2016.  They welcomed their first son, Reid Paul McGilton, the following year.  They welcomed their second son, Rhett James McGilton almost two years later.  Paul was happiest spending time with his family, his boys were the joys of his life.  Paul will be remembered by his quick-wit and kind personality.

Paul is survived by his wife, Hilary, sons Reid Paul and Rhett James.  He is also survived by his parents, Dennis and Charlene.  Paul is also survived his sister Katrina (Jeff) Willey; in-laws Jim (Susan) Martin; brother-in-law Wyatt (Kathryn) Martin; nephews Dustin and Landon Willey and great nephews.  Paul is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He is preceded in death by his grandfathers and grandmothers.
