Peggy J. Chan, age 74, loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, and auntie, passed away on April 27, 2024, following a brief illness.
Born October 17, 1949, in Waseca, Minnesota, Peggy was the daughter of the late Ralph Seorum and the late Helen Louise Seorum, nee Mortensen.
Peggy was curious about everything around her, and she loved sharing nature and art with her family and friends. She was a championship bowler at one time in her life, and she was proficient in many forms of art and music, including pen and ink, pastels, and sculpture. Piano and guitar were her favorite instruments, and she wrote and played her own songs for everyone who would listen.
She was quiet, but interested in what others had to say and she would gladly chime in with her opinions if she felt the need. She was funny, quick witted and whimsical, and made those around her better people for having spent time with her.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Golden and Lois Starke, and her daughter Toby Crossman.
She was the proud grandmother of three and a loving niece to many aunts and uncles. Peggy is survived by her son Jason (Jessica) Chan, her sisters Alicia (Edmund) Mangum, Caralynn Kahiapo, and Patricia Saiki, her wife, Gayle Teller and many loving nieces and nephews.
Donations in Peggy's name may be made to Abode Hospice, 744 Horizon Court #110. Grand Junction, CO 81506 for the profound kindness and care they showed to Peggy and her family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown's Cremation and Funeral Services.
