Our beautiful Angel gained her heavenly wings on October 29, 2021, while surrounded by her loved ones. She was the precious daughter of Tony and Orabel Maddalone, born August 1, 1941, in Aspen, CO.
She married her best friend and the love of her life, Leo C. Hotz, on July 23, 1960, in Moab, UT. They shared more than 54 years of happiness and adventure together. They enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gold dredging, and riding their ATV. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed many years on bowling leagues. Peggy had a very gentle soul and a quiet nature about her. She also had a wicked sense of humor and could make you laugh no matter how you were feeling. Although she was small in stature, her personality was huge and she was a lil’ spitfire.
Her biggest passion was her family. Peggy and Leo had two daughters, Lorri Ann Miller and Diana Gail Pace, both of Grand Junction; grandchildren, Larry Miller, Leo (Susana) Pace, Levi (Tarrin) Miller, Jamie Pace, Kimberly Miller; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Toni (David) VanMeter of AZ, and Nelda (Steve) Jochim, of UT. Peggy was greeted in Heaven by her beloved husband, Leo C.; her parents; brother, Dale Maddalone; sisters, Ethel Zimmerman and Debbie Gilchrist.
A memorial service will be November 8, at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at 3 p.m.
Peggy’s family is very grateful for HopeWest Hospice. They would appreciate memorial donations to HopeWest, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction 815
