Pete Anthony Echave, 81, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on June 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born on December 17, 1941, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Pedro and Lugarde Velarde Echave.
After graduating from Grand Junction High School, Pete began his career in the food service industry. He retired after many years of dedicated service to the residents of the Grand Junction Regional Center.
Pete was a devoted husband to his wife of 63 years, Georgia Echave, and a loving father to his children, Louanna Barrett, Carli Echave, Petie Echave, and Melanie Eneboe. He was also a cherished grandfather to Chip White, Nicholas Echave, Myranda Echave, Molly Echave, Tyler Troutwine, Savannah Nadeau, Celena Eneboe, Felix Eneboe, Lily Eneboe, Daisy Echave, Angelica Echave, and Amillia Echave. He was blessed with great-grandchildren, Olivia White, Avery White, Elliott Eneboe, Brodie Eneboe, Paisley Keyes, Scarlett Henderson, Owen Henderson, and Skylar Nadeau. Pete was preceded in death by his mother and father, 4 brothers and 3 sisters and two of his children, Carli (2011) & Petie (2017).
Pete enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing, traveling, and playing Bingo. He loved his precious dogs who were his constant companions. Pete had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh at his silly jokes. Pete was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Pete left a lasting impression on many people and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 11:00am to 1:00pm (Mountain time) at Brown's Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 904 N 7th St, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
