Tracey was born October 2, 1959, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was the daughter of William Vinson and Thyra Coates Vinson. She attended Needham Broughton H.S. and N.C. State University. Tracey retired from AT&T
Ralph Richard Smith November 21, 1933 – October 4, 2021
Ralph Richard Smith passed away after a short illness on October 4, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Ralph was born November 21, 1933, in Miami, Florida. He was the son of Cecil Smith and Bernice Sinclair Smith.
He attended Miami Edison High and was a member of the National Guard.
Ralph was a multi-talented entertainer, singer, musician, who was often billed as a “Fabulous One-Man Act” (Florida) and “The most accomplished one man act in the country” (Scottsdale). He teamed up with his talented brother, Clyde Jorgensen, and in 1965 moved to Grand Junction and became the popular duo “Ralph and Clyde”.
Ralph and Tracey were married on June 26, 1983. They both loved family gatherings, fishing at Lake Powell, gardening, gold panning, raising poodles, making and selling magnetic jewelry. Tracey was a very devoted wife and loving grandmother.
Ralph was preceded in death by Tracey, his parents,step father Pete Jorgensen and grandson Kenny Sample. He is survived by his brother Clyde (Lola) Jorgensen, children from his marriage to Zelda Harrell Smith in 1950, Debbie (Emery) Welsh, Rebecca (Ron) Carfield, Richard (Lee) Smith, Sherry (Steve) Maynes, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great- great -grandchildren. 2 Nephews and 1 niece.
Tracey was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister Pamela (Clay) Schnell, 2 nephews and 2 nieces and all of Ralph’s children and grandchildren.
