On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, Randall Lynn Reed of Grand Junction, Colorado went home to be with his Lord at the age of 73.
Randy was born in Burlington, Colorado on November 23rd, 1949 to David and Ardis Reed. Growing up on his family’s cattle ranch, he was active in FFA while in school. After high school Randy attended CSU and UNC, and also served in the National Guard. In 1976 Randy met Wanda Brundage and they were married in Burlington, CO on November 6th. In 1978 Randy and Wanda moved to Glenwood, Colorado where Randy opened Timberline Hardware, and on April 28th, 1980 their daughter, Morgen, was born.
The family moved to Ft. Collins in 1983 where Randy worked for Handy Dan hardware store before moving into the business and financial world by joining Liberty Mutual, and then New York Life. On June, 30th, 1994 their son, William Cody, was born.
In 1998, the family moved to Delta, Colorado until 2003 when they moved back to the front range to live in Greeley for a year before finally settling in Grand Junction, where Randy worked for Wells Fargo as a financial advisor for 18 years.
In his early years, Randy enjoyed painting and woodworking. He also loved fishing and exploring the natural beauty that Colorado has to offer. His favorite activities included fishing with his son, Cody, going for drives in the mountains with his family, and spending time with his granddaughters, Gracie (11) and Ava (8), who were the light of his life.
Randy is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, his older sister, Rita Sircy, his youngest brother, Ken Reed, and his sister-in-law, Penny Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Reed, his daughter Morgen Parks (Gareth), two granddaughters, Gracie and Ava Parks, his son, William Cody (Shea), his younger brother Steve Reed (Jamie), his Uncle Stan and Aunt Martha Pettibone, his brother-in-law, Don Sircy, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services to be held at Redlands Community Church in Grand Junction, Colorado on Friday, March 3rd at 11:00am. While his soul is in heaven with the Lord, his remains will be interred at Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado.
