Renee Higgs

Reneé Ann Higgs, Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to many, left this world on Wednesday, March 11th, 2020. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Johnny B. Higgs.  Their children; Kevin (Lori) Higgs, Melissa Higgs, Jennifer (Don) Delaney and Steve Erickson of Fruita, Sister Diana (Ray) Tousley of Utah. She was the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren Matthew (Lacey), Eric, Kaete (James), Amber (Matt), Jay (Teddy), Patrick, Jeremiah (Miranda), Leona, Chevelle, Kirsten (Mike), plus many-many more which she considered her grandchildren, whom she cherished. She had 18 great-grandchildren, and was a beloved Aunt to numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Austen and LaDee Jensen, and Brother Alan Jensen.
Reneé was born in Price, Utah on July 14th, 1946.  She grew up in Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado.  She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1965 and She was married to The Love of Her Life on June 26, 1965 and had 3 amazing children. They lived the majority of their life in their home on the crossroads of 20 & K outside Fruita. And they were married for 55 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader for 13 years. She loved to sew, cook, bake, fish, knit, ride her 4-wheeler, go camping, and hunting with her family. Her family was her first priority, and if you needed anything, she did her best to provide. She loved to go on trips with Johnny to Mesquite, on cruises, and to see their family. She had the world’s best smile and will forever be loved and missed. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Brown's Chapel 904 N. 7th Street in Grand Junction, CO at 11:00 AM
burial will be at the Western Colorado Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM
