Our wonderful son, brother, and uncle; Rick Fliger (Richard Fliger, II); died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve. He lived his life like the Eagle Scout that he was -he served his country in the Navy for 20 years and spent much of his life doing good things for other people. He moved to Colorado after being in the Navy because he loved the mountains. He was a mechanic who was accomplished at car restoration and he could build, craft, and fix almost anything. His creations were works of art. Most recently, he was restoring a Corvette, Thunderbird, and an old Chevy truck that he bought because it reminded him of the truck we had growing up. Rick was kind, hard-working and loving. His ashes (and memorial) will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO; the Uncompahgre Forest; and in his hometown of St. Helena, CA. Rick was a kind, honest, and hardworking guy. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Fliger; sisters, Linda Ungerman (Grand Junction, CO) and Stephanie Moret (Santa Barbara, CA); nieces and nephews Robert, Heather, Skye, Celia, Dawn, Joseph, Jade, and Dustin; and several great nieces and nephews. We love you, Rick, and you will be in our hearts forever.
