Richard I. King March 26, 1926 - February 5, 2015 Richard (Dick) King passed away Thursday evening at Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction, at the age of 88. Born and raised in Denver, Dick spent his career as a rocket engineer, working for over 30 years for Lockheed Martin in Denver. Some of the projects Dick worked on include Titan missiles, the space shuttle and the astronaut "jetpack". Dick is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eugenia (Gena), his two sons, Mark and Michael (Kathy) , four grand children, Melissa (Lee), Nathan, Christopher, Courtney, and one great grandchild, Alissa. Dick loved the outdoors and sports. He loved things that flew in the air. He loved his family dearly and dedicated his life to their well-being. Most of all, he enjoyed life and loved to laugh.
