He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Adelaide, and his daughters Shelly and Kimberly. He was survived by longtime companion Garnet Jenkins, his brother John Longo, (and wife Sue) his son Todd, several nieces and nephews, and 3 grandchildren: Casey, Kass and Megan.

There will be a service in Grand Junction, CO at St. Joseph Catholic Church on February 11th at 11 a.m. and a 2nd service in Denver, CO at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 36th & Navajo, on February 19th at 10 a.m. Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no reception following services. Richard served honorably in the Navy for 4 years.

He was an aspiring musician, starting out with an acapella group 'The Mandarins' and was proud to be the drummer with 'The Pleasure Exchange', a popular local band in the 70's.

He aspired his whole life to be the best Italian chef ever and he was. His greatest pleasure was watching his guests enjoying his food.

Golfing was also one of his great pleasures in life.

In his last years, he enjoyed many afternoons playing cards with his newest 'best friend' Joe Sullivan and was always thrilled to brutalize him.
