On Saturday, May 23, 2020, Richard W. Miller, Jr. passed away at home at the age of 86 with family members by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. This amazing man that we were so fortunate to call our father, raised six children and then in his 40s welcomed two more into his fold. He loved and protected all and took his responsibilities as a father and family man very seriously.
Richard, also known as Dick, was an extremely honorable and hardworking man who was not only dedicated to his family but country as well. He was a proud American, a Korean War Veteran, a fantastic neighbor and good friend to all he met. He was a teacher, mentor and confidant to many generations of young people. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his wife, 8 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to honor his life at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado. The date and time have yet to be determined.
