Robert Eugene Crawley, age 84, died on September 2, 2024 following a long battle with prostate cancer, lung cancer, and heart problems.
Born on March 30, 1940 in Illinois, he was the son of Grant and Mary Crawley. Robert graduated in 1958 from Hooper High School in Colorado.
He was proudly employed as a heavy machine operator for over 35 years and was also a taxicab driver for 5 years. He however was best known for his truck driving that he did for over 20 years, hauling leftover luggage from the airport straight to people’s homes. He was always known as a diligent hardworking man.
Robert enjoyed many activities including fishing, hunting, camping and women. His humor was a cornerstone of his personality, always lighting the mood and making others smile. Beyond his jokes and playful nature, Robert was deeply dedicated to family and friends. He devoted his time and energy to helping others, always ready to lend a hand or offer support.
He was proceeded in death by Grant Crawley, Mary Lillian Crawley, Sister Mildred Towner, Brother Leroy Grant Jr. Crawley, and many nephews and nieces.
Robert is survived by sons Keith (Susan) Crawley, David Crawley, Grandsons Robert Crawley and Steven Crawley, Sisters Thelma Middleton, Mary Lou McClosey, Norma Henderson, Shirley Clark and Brothers Randall Crawley, and Charles Crawley.
Services took place on September 6, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Home.
