Robert Dix

After a short battle with sepsis Robert passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Robert was born and raised in Natchez, Mississippi.

Robert moved to Colorado in the late 70’s and made his life on the Western Slope.  Though Robert had many jobs and travelled frequently for work he returned to Grand Junction were his daughters were raised.

Robert had a lot of interest and enjoyed being outdoors.  He had many jobs over the years including oil field (domestic and international), construction, ranch hand, farm hand and anything else that might have stuck his interest.  Robert spent a lot of time on the soccer field watching, refereeing, and coaching his daughter’s teams.  If Robert and his family were not participating in soccer you could often find them hunting, fishing, camping or boating. Anything with an engine was of special interest to Robert he enjoyed driving, fixing (taking apart) anything that would move.  Robert was always up for an adventure or new challenge.

Robert is survived by his children Stacie and Shannon (Dan); Grandchildren Gwyneth, Jett, Brite, Ryann and Ember; Siblings Cathy and Bill.   Robert had a large group of friends who were considered family and several nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Rob Dix, Sr and Lynne Dix; Sister Julie Owens; nephew Scott Owens.
