Robert Everett Brown February 6, 1946 - February 17, 2019 Bob passed away February 17th surrounded by his family at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Glenwood, MN to Robert and Eileen Brown. At the age of 6 months, Bob’s parents moved to Colorado. Bob graduated from Rifle High in 1965, and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1966. He served in the Supply Corp for two years and in the reserves for 4 years. He met the love of his life, Donna (Vondette) in 1970, and they were married April 23, 1971 in Rifle, Colorado. Bob and Donna settled in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1973 where Bob worked as a warehouseman for City Market for 29 years. Bob accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 13 and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a faithful member of Pear Park Baptist Church, and was passionate about reading God’s Word. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading books, watching documentaries, and anything to do with trains. Those who knew Bob best, knew him as a kind individual, with a ready smile and a jovial spirit. He never met a stranger and had an encouraging word for all who crossed his path. Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna; Children, Jeana Haitz (Michael), Wendy Banman (Jeff), Michael Brown (Annie), and Rani Brown; Brothers, Jerry (Judy), and Daniel Brown; Sister, Marjorie O’Neal; and Grandchildren, Breaunna, Natalie, Isaac, Cassidy, and Courtney. A Viewing and Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Pear Park Baptist Church, 3102 E Road, Grand Junction, CO. Viewing at 9:00 AM with Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Graveside service at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pear Park Baptist School.
