Robert Lee Herdt (aka: Bob) unexpectedly passed away at the age of 76 on March 2nd, 2015 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Bob was born August 19th, 1938, in Lingle, Wyoming and later moved with his family to Riverton Wyoming. Bob was an avid hot rod enthusiast with his first new car being a 1957 Chevy 2 door hard top that he immediately customized by lowering and shaving off the door handles. It was no surprise when Bob chose a career in operating heavy equipment machinery. Bob worked in all phases of the heavy equipment industry from highway construction to mining uranium, coal, gold and silver. Bob’s career highlight was being promoted to General Mine Foreman at Federal American Partners Uranium Mine in Gas Hills Wyoming. Bob’s career paths led him to many different locations including the states of Wyoming, Colorado, California, and Arizona. Bob is survived by many family members, including his beloved dog Jeni that rode on his lap as he raced between stop lights in his latest purchase, a flamed and super charged Ford Lightning SVT pick-up truck. There will be no services at Bob’s request, and he will be deeply missed by many.
