Robert "Bob" H. Maurer, age 96, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on May 23, 2024, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Bob, a talented artist, completed over 1,200 oil, acrylic, pen & ink, and watercolor paintings, many of which earned top honors in art shows and competitions. His works were showcased in prestigious institutions such as The Denver Art Museum and The Smithsonian, as well as in numerous private and corporate collections worldwide.
Despite battling Alzheimer's and Dementia, Bob continued to pursue his passion for drawing until the very end. He peacefully departed at Aspen Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his four children, Marc Maurer, Kim Spirek, Lisa Blood, and Toby Maurer, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
A service to honor Bob's life will be held on July 9th, 2024, at 10 am at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, located at 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO.
Bob's remarkable artistic legacy and the love he shared with his family and everyone he came in contact with will forever be remembered and celebrated.
