Robert also known as Bobby Joe, Bo Jo, Bob, Daddy, Pops and Papa, was born and raised in Wheatridge CO. His love for football and the Denver Broncos started at a very young age and became a standard family celebration even if there was a loss, it was time well spent together and he was never a fair weather fan. He moved to Grand Junction in 1974 where he began growing his family and in the early 80’s he started his successful business, Sunwood Builders. He framed homes and businesses for more than 30 years all over Colorado. He raised his kids to show a love and appreciation for all things. He instilled in them the value of hard work, strong character and integrity. When he wasn’t hard at work, he spent quality time on the lake in the summer and on the mountain in the winter. He worked hard so that his family could have fun experiences and opportunities in their life. He took people under his wing and taught them the trade and encouraged and mentored them to make better choices in their lives. Bobby made friends everywhere he went and was kind to everyone. He often reminded his kids to give to those in need and to value life for all that it is and appreciate each day no matter what hardships you may encounter.
