Robert "Bob" Trevenen

Robert Ray aka “Bob” Trevenen, age 90, died May 16 2021 in Fruita Colorado following a brief illness. Born March 30, 1931 in Craig Colorado, he was the son of the late Samuel Elmer Trevenen and Virginia Murray.

Bob Trevenen attended Moffat County high school in Craig, Colorado. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served as a Corporal during the Korean War serving in Salzburg Austria.

Bob Trevenen was employed as a lineman for Mountain Bell Telephone for 24 years.

He also was a business owner for 25 years at Bob's Appliance & Repair.  He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and lovingly served in the Vernal, Utah Temple.

He enjoyed teaching Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Craig and Fruita. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, tying flies, canoeing, painting, bicycling, arts and crafts; even more so he was dedicated and loving to his family, to helping others in need, hard working and humble.

He is preceded in death by his son Thomas Wesley Trevenen, his parents: Samuel Elmer Trevenen and Virginia Murray, his sisters, Lois Rushing and Deborah Bartlett.  He is survived by his wife Joanne (Gore) Trevenen, his sons and daughter;  Robert Rae, Jr. (Pamela) Trevenen, Springville, UT.  Kathleen (Charles) Warner, Fruita, CO.  Samuel Elmer (Glenda) Trevenen, Sandy, UT.  Sisters and Brothers; June (Bob) Harrison, CA. Delores (James) Solace, Fruita, CO. Flora (Melvin) Sullivan, Fruita, CO. Thomas (Claudia) Trevenen, Sun City, AZ.

Bob Sr. and Joanne Trevenen are the proud grandparents of 12 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

The Military Service will be held May 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery -  2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO 81501.

A memorial service for family and friends will follow at the Stake Center Pavilion 2542 G Rd, Grand Junction. CO 81505.
